Rumble Monkeys, MMA enters the Blockchain

MMA Futures has partnered with several Combat Sports industry professionals to bring you an innovative look into WEB3 and NFTs. Through the purchase of The Rumble Monkeys NFT project, it opens the doors for an all-new way of looking at MMA.

For those not familiar with WEB3 and NFTs I’ll give you a quick rundown. WEB3 is essentially the next iteration of the web, it’s all about security, anonymity, and verifiability, and this is all done through the blockchain. As far as security is concerned, you have 100% control over all your web3 assets. For example, if you own a website such as MMAFutures.com, you don’t actually own that website, you pay a service to use their domain, in web3 if you “mint” say MMAFutures.Sol that is yours it is stored in your wallet and no one can take it from you. And because of the way blockchain technology works you never have to tell someone your name or address and all exchanges go through your verified wallet, which only you have access to. And verifiability, let’s be honest anything can be faked or duplicated, but let’s say that your friend is an artist and releases a piece of art as an NFT. That particular artwork has a blockchain ID that says this is the original, the artwork can be duplicated but that ID for the original can never be changed. Okay, that was a lot and a very brief breakdown let’s get into the fun stuff, Rumble Monkeys.

Rumble Monkeys is a Solana NFT project on the Solana blockchain, Solana is a cryptocurrency with low transaction fees therefore many NFT enthusiasts have gravitated towards it. Rumble Monkeys is a set of 3,333 Monkeys that are combat sports themed, and their goal is to become the combat sports brand in Web3. Currently, the project, under new ownership has released some things that they are offering to the people that hold their NFTs. The 1st thing they released was their “Rumble of the Day Picks”, they work with a few people to come up with some of the best picks for their holders to make bets on. They have also recently released their own Utility Token, think of this like in-game currency, and you can earn it by locking up your NFT for a given amount of time. Currently, their token $TKO can only be used in their marketplace to buy other NFTs, but they are promising other online things you will be able to buy with it along with real things too, maybe MMA Futures PPVs? Honestly, the utility of their token is only limited by what they are willing to do. The other thing they have hinted at is partnerships with fighters, and promotions, I can definitely see some interesting things there too.
